Having got over 'plugin fever' a few years back, i have to say that one is better off sticking to a few great plugins than a million crappy onesless is definitely more in this caseall you really need itb is one great compressor, one great eq, one convolution reverb and a couple of toysi pretty much always end up with sonalksis eq and comp, altiverb and motu's inbuilt delay and modulationpsp gets an occasional look inthat's about it.i like pluggo, but to be honest i haven't used it much in mixingis there any particular plug you're after in the vst world? Or I might turn the warehouse surrounding my studio into 'chamber' late one night and print that. Arran,The more I think about your question, the more it reminds me Do not get bogged down with 'Plug Fever.' It is easy to see plug-ins out there, and want them all.But it is better to have a smaller number of really useful and good quality ones than to load your system down with a bunch of junk.Having said that, you can compare many, if not most, plug-ins atThe long list shows all, or you can specifify your desired format (TDM, RTAS, VST, etc.) to shorten the list.Another source of inexpensive plug-ins (VST, translator required for PT), some good, some not so, is Pluggo.
